You shouldn't have to do the extra lives trick with the 2nd player just to MAYBE have a chance. The baddies are a lot smarter and tougher over the NES version as well, although not nearly as cheap as the Arcade version. Could have been an amazing game had it not been for the complete BS platforming segments later in the game that can completely drain all your lives.
